MeRT Conditions
Depression
Frequently Asked Questions
What neurological conditions has MeRT been applied to?
MeRT has been applied to a wide range of neurological conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Sleep Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Traumatic Brain Injury / concussion.
Does MeRT produce the same effect for every patient?
No. Outcomes vary by individual condition and environment. Based on qEEG results, stimulation location, intensity, and method are designed individually for each patient.
Can MeRT be received alongside existing treatments (medication, psychotherapy)?
Yes. MeRT is designed as a complement to existing treatments, not a replacement. Medication and psychotherapy can be continued alongside it.
What evaluations are conducted before treatment?
qEEG (quantitative EEG) and EKG (electrocardiogram) are measured to analyze brain function patterns and ensure safety. The medical team determines treatment suitability through a comprehensive evaluation.
What does "non-invasive" mean exactly?
Magnetic waves are generated outside the scalp to stimulate brain regions, requiring no incision or drug injection. No anesthesia is used either.
How is treatment suitability determined?
Suitability is determined based on qEEG/EKG results and the medical team's comprehensive evaluation. If MeRT is not deemed appropriate, an alternative approach may be recommended.
