Magnetic Resonance Therapy (TMS) Improves Clinical Phenotype and EEG Alpha Power in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Why does this matter? MeRT showed a statistically significant improvement in pre-/post-treatment scores on the PTSD Checklist-Military (PCL-M) (p<0.001). This was supported by qEEG findings of increased global alpha-band power (p=0.013) and decreased delta-band activity (p=0.028). The data indicate a trend toward EEG normalization and corresponding clinical improvement with MeRT stimulation for PTSD.
